The opponents for San Diego’s two college football bowl games have been set.
For the National University Holiday Bowl on Dec. 27, the University of Southern California (8-4) will play the University of Nebraska (9-3).
For the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl on Dec. 23, the two teams are San Diego State University (7-5) against the U.S. Naval Academy (6-5), which has one game remaining on its schedule against Army.
Both games will be played at Qualcomm Stadium with the Holiday Bowl kicking off at 5 p.m. and the Poinsettia Bowl starting at 6:30 p.m.
This will be the first time USC has played in the San Diego bowl game that celebrates its 37th outing. It is the fourth appearance for Nebraska.
Navy is making its fourth appearance in the earlier bowl game, while the Aztecs are making their third appearance in the earlier bowl game that is in its 10th year.
