Regent Properties of Los Angeles has acquired the Research Center Pointe industrial building in Carlsbad for $16.35 million, according to brokerage company Cassidy Turley, which represented the buyer and seller.
The seller of the 119,561-square-foot property, at 2210 Faraday Ave., was Paragon Real Estate Investments of San Diego. The building, located within the master-planned Carlsbad Research Center, is 68 percent occupied, by Medtronic Inc. and Nemko USA Inc.
Cassidy Turley’s Rick Reeder and Aric Starck negotiated the transaction. The acquisition was Regent Properties’ second in Carlsbad in the past 90 days, following its May purchase of the former Upper Deck Inc. headquarters on Sea Otter Place for $16 million.
