Conference Will Help Create Links Among Industry, Innovators and Foreign Investors

“Making It in America” is the title of a three and half-day conference aimed at making connections for local innovators with business representatives from China, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. It is scheduled for Nov.19-22 at California Center for the Arts, Escondido

The goal of the conference is “to bring together like-minded innovators and investors to generate new product or industry in the most lucrative market in the world,” said Congressman Scott Peters, who co-chairs the event with County Supervisor Dave Roberts. Escondido Mayor Sam Abed serves as host.

Among topics that will be discussed are new developments in high-tech, stem cell research, nanotechnology, as well as how to do business in the Southern California and the U.S., according to the announcement.

“The ultimate goal of the conference is to create new jobs and industry here in Southern California, but jobs and industry with a purpose to do good,” the announcement said.
