Two San Diego companies have announced new chief financial officers.
Franklin Wireless — a maker of wireless modems, routers, and related electronics — told securities regulators on April 11 that its board promoted Richard Walker to chief financial officer on March 13. O.C. Kim, the president of the company, had been acting as chief financial officer. Walker has been with the company since late 2009 and previously was vice president for finance and accounting. He previously held positions at Qualcomm, MP3.com, Peregrine Systems and Intercasting Corp.
Separately, Heritage Global Partners Inc., an asset advisory and auction services firm, announced April 11 that it named Scott A. West as chief financial officer. West has served at various public and private equity funded technology companies, including international and Fortune 500 firms.
