Intel Capital, Intel’s investment arm, announced investments in 16 technology companies totaling $65 million at the Intel Capital Summit held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel San Diego on Oct. 22.
The new investments are part of Intel Capital’s mission of cultivating global innovation by providing entrepreneurs with the resources they need to scale businesses from startup to corporate level, the organization said.
The 16 companies include some from eight other nations besides the U.S. Included in the funded businesses are CloudFX of Singapore; Cloudian of the U.S. and Japan; DotProduct of the U.S.; Interlude of Israel; Lintes Technologies of Taiwan; Savaari Car Rentals of India; and SkySQL of Finland.
The summit, which drew about 1,000 attendees, brings together a worldwide network of Fortune 100 executives and portfolio company CEOs to network, exchange ideas and jump-start partnerships and business deals, said Arvind Sodhani, president of Intel Capital.
