San Diego-based Indus Technology Inc. received a U.S. Navy contract that could be worth as much as $4.5 million.

Under the deal, Indus and subcontractors L-3 Unidyne and RDSI Inc. will provide administrative and technical support services to the financial management department at Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport in Rhode Island. The center is part of the Naval Sea Systems Command.

It is Indus’ first prime contract at Newport. The deal is structured as a task order under Indus’ Seaport-e contract.

Indus Technology is an employee owned, service disabled veteran owned small business. Its 2012 revenue was just shy of $27 million. The firm has 221 employees. Its main office is in San Diego’s Old Town neighborhood.
