Halbert Construction Co. Inc. of El Cajon has been awarded a contract of approximately $18.5 million, for work on military dining and administration buildings at Presidio of Monterey.
The U.S. Defense Department said the firm-fixed-price contract includes options to construct a dining facility and a general administration building at the Monterey facility, with funding from fiscal 2011 military construction funds.
The contracting authority was the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Sacramento District, which received four competitive bids through an online process.
The Presidio of Monterey provides professional base support services for mission readiness, including foreign language education, according to the facility’s website.
