Operators plan a multimillion-dollar renovation of The Declan Suites San Diego, a downtown hotel that recently switched from the Sheraton Suites banner.
Work on the 264-room property, at 701 A St., is scheduled to begin in April 2014, a hotel spokeswoman said. The revamp, starting with the hotel’s lobby, will include enhancements to its technology, on-site music and other aesthetics.
Officials did not disclose planned investment costs. Changes being planned by design firm Design360unlimited include a live-feed video wall, a communal technology area, local art and a “musically engaging” lobby, according to a statement.
The all-suites hotel also plans to offer guests “loaner bikes” to explore the city. The hotel was acquired in 2010 by New York-based Westbrook Partners.
