Covario Inc. co-founder and CEO Russ Mann was elected chairman of the company and will turn over the duties of CEO to three current executives, the San Diego-based search engine marketing agency said.
Named as co-CEOs are Mike Gullaksen and Jeff Johnson. Gullaksen and Johnson were serving as co-managing directors of the firm’s search and content marketing agency. Claire Long will be part of the leadership team while continuing as the firm’s chief financial and operating officer.
The triad will be responsible for the company’s overall revenue growth, operations and client satisfaction, the company said.
Mann will support the leadership team in his new role as chairman. He co-founded Covario seven years ago.
Covario was ranked earlier this year by Advertising Age as one of the 10 largest search agencies in the nation among those agencies with sales of more than $20 million.
Founded in 2006, Covario has about 200 employees globally with offices in Beijing, Chicago, London, New York, Phoenix, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, Seattle, Singapore, Tokyo, Toronto and other cities, the company said.
