South Korea plans to buy four Northrop Grumman Global Hawk high-altitude spy aircraft, according to a report from Reuters.
Northrop Grumman runs the Global Hawk program from its office complex in Rancho Bernardo.
The Reuters report cited an unnamed source in South Korea’s defense acquisition community as well as a South Korean parliamentary audit. It said the South Korean government would spend 900 billion won, or $847 million, and that the deal could be signed in 2014.
Northrop Grumman did not respond to a request for comment on the report.
