The U.S. Navy recently awarded a construction contract worth up to $12.8 million to San Diego-based I.E.-Pacific Inc.

Under the deal, I.E.-Pacific will design and build a security operations complex and military working dog facility at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma in Arizona. Work is expected to be completed by July 2015.

The deal is technically a $12.6 million task order under a previously awarded multiple award construction contract. A planned modification and one unexercised option could bring the deal up to $12.8 million.

The Navy received four proposals for the project. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest in San Diego awarded the deal.
