Realty Income Corp. has named John P. Case, currently its chief investment officer, as co-president of the real estate investment firm.
A statement from Escondido-based Realty Income said Case will continue in his investment officer role and join Co-president and Chief Operating Officer Gary Malino in running the company’s day-to-day operations.
Case will oversee all of the company’s investment activities, capital markets, finance and accounting, corporate communications and investor relations functions. He will also join Malino in working with CEO Tom A. Lewis on long-term corporate strategy and operational structure, the statement said.
Case joined Realty Income three years ago following 19 years as an investment banker in New York City. He has held executive posts with firms including RBC Capital Markets, UBS and Merrill Lynch.
Realty Income is among the nation’s largest publicly traded real estate investment trusts, with a portfolio of more than 3,500 commercial properties. It trades under the symbol O on the New York Stock Exchange.
