San Diego-based Kratos Defense & Security Solutions Inc. said its Electronic Products Division received at least $18 million worth of work, to be split between manufacturing and service activities.
Kratos said its Pennsylvania-based subsidiary, Herley Industries, will provide high power microwave amplifiers to an unnamed health care and medical equipment provider. The electronics will be used in oncology therapy systems. That initial award will be worth more than $6 million.
Additionally, Kratos said it received an award for service and maintenance of the high power amplifiers. The deal is expected to bring in a minimum of $12 million through 2022.
Stock in Kratos trades on the Nasdaq as KTOS.
