Epsilon Systems Solutions Inc. will receive a $6.9 million U.S. Navy contract for professional and engineering services in support of the Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, the Pentagon announced.

The center, based at the 32nd Street naval base, handles ship maintenance.

The deal, structured as a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, includes options which could bring the cumulative value to $12.8 million. Under the deal, Epsilon will provide administration, logistics, program management, information assurance, training, and quality assurance; support in the areas of business and finance; and technical and engineering support.

Some 90 percent of the work will be performed in San Diego, with the rest of the work spread over five Pacific ports in Washington, Hawaii, Guam and Japan.

Work is expected to be complete by November.
