Brewery’s ‘Palate Wrecker’ Goes National, AgainFriday, January 4, 2013
Mira Mesa-based Green Flash Brewing Co. said it plans to start 2013 by taking its Palate Wrecker brew to a national audience, for a second time.
Billed as “the hoppiest brew on the planet,” Palate Wrecker is a double India pale ale that company brewmaster Chuck Silva first put together in 2008.
The double IPA will be available in bottles and on draft for a limited time. Green Flash distributed it nationally once before, in 2012.
In 2011, Palate Wrecker won the Michael Jackson American Cask Award at the Great British Beer Festival out of more than 100 entries.
Green Flash has 50 employees and was recently hiring for 10 open positions, which include sales jobs in several metropolitan areas around the United States.
Mike and Lisa Hinkley founded Green Flash in 2002. The privately held business does not disclose revenue.
