The U.S. Department of Defense recently announced that it awarded a $337.1 million contract to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc.

Under the one-year deal, the Poway company will procure logistics services for the U.S. Air Force’s Predator and Reaper unmanned aircraft programs. The Defense Department said the contract could be described as a firm fixed price, cost plus fixed fee, and time and material contract.

Six days later, the Pentagon announced it had awarded the same company a one-year logistics deal worth $28.3 million. Work on the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract will be performed in the California desert communities of El Mirage and China Lake.
