Micropower Technologies Inc., a San Diego maker of wireless surveillance cameras, said Aaron Tankersley was recently named the company’s new president and chief executive officer, replacing founder Jon Siann.

Tankersley has 12 years of senior leadership expertise working for both public and private entities. He was most recently the CEO of Pixon Imaging, Micropower said.

Previously, Tankersley was president of an operating subsidiary of HSBC where he led a team of 1,000 employees and oversaw more than $10 billion in assets.

Kevin Hell, Micropower’s chairman of the board said Tankersley is a seasoned executive with experience in driving companies to the next stages of growth. He also commended Siann for his contributions as founder and CEO.
