The downtown San Diego office tower at 450 B. St., known locally as the Bank of America Tower, has been sold for $73 million, according to CoStar Group and public data. It is the second time in less than two years that the 20-story building has changed hands.

The latest buyer was listed as TKOS I LLC, with further details unavailable. The seller was SD CFD Tower 8 Owner LLC, which includes BBL Inc. of San Diego and Westbrook Partners of New York City.

The 283,786-square-foot building was purchased by the BBL-led partnership in December 2011, for $60.15 million. The office tower, built on 1.2 acres in 1981and renovated in 2009, was 82.4 percent leased at the time of the most recent sale, which closed Nov. 20.

Tenants include a two-story bank branch and regional headquarters of Bank of America.
