Downtown’s Columbia Square Office Tower Sells for $35 Million

The Emmes Group of Cos. of New York City has purchased the Columbia Square office tower in downtown San Diego for $35 million, according to CoStar Group and public data.

The seller was LaeRoc Partners Inc. of Hermosa Beach, represented by brokerage services firm Jones Lang LaSalle Inc.

The 143,574-square foot Columbia Square was built in 1990 at 1230 Columbia St., and was 93 percent leased at the time of sale. The Emmes Group also owns the nearby Columbia Center office tower, at 401 W. A St.
