La Mesa-based Eclipse Breast Health Technologies Inc. has launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise $650,000 to build a limited number of its novel breast self-exam devices.
The company plans to raise the funds through the Indiegogo website and will use the proceeds to build 1,000 devices.
The handheld Eclipse device is about the size and shape of a computer mouse. It helps women detect questionable tissue during self-exams.
Ken Wright is the founder and CEO of the company.
