Poway-based PKL Services Inc. received a $16.3 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy for work on U.S. Marine Corps helicopters.
The Defense Department announced the award July 31. The work extends through February.
Under the deal, PKL will provide maintenance services for four types of Marine helicopters at several U.S. bases as well as bases in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in Patuxent River, Md. awarded the deal.
Samuel Flores Jr., a retired Marine Corps officer, is the CEO of PKL Services. The company reported $48 million in revenue last year.
