The San Diego Business Journal incorrectly reported details about San Diego-based medical device maker Aethlon Medical Inc.’s government subcontract work.

A $22.8 million contract was awarded to Columbus, Ohio-based Battlelle Memorial Institute by the government’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to develop treatment for blood poisoning, or sepsis. Aethlon entered a subcontract agreement with Battelle to help develop a device that treats sepsis.
