Creative Arts Students, Recent Grads Can Get Portfolio Reviewed Nov. 2Wednesday, October 31, 2012
College students and recent grads in the creative arts can get their portfolios critiqued at a biannual portfolio review event Nov. 2 in downtown San Diego to help them find employment.
The free event is hosted by Experiences For Mankind and the Behance Network, and is part of an international global networking event that involves more than 6,000 participants in 549 cities, including New York, Rome and London, according to EFM.
“Behance portfolio reviews are all about giving anyone working in a creative field the opportunity to get in-person feedback,” said Sarah Rapp, director of community and engagement at Behance.
The event includes a 110-minute introduction from a hiring agency’s perspective and a 15-minute Q&A panel, answering questions from attendees. Participants then break into small groups for peer portfolio reviews moderated by a creative working professional. The event will conclude with food and drink at a postnetworking event, EFM said.
The event’s location is 624 Broadway, Suite 502.
