Got a taste for innovation?
Thinkers with promising technologies will rendezvous later this week in San Diego with venture capitalists and other people interested in taking new technologies to market.
It’s scheduled to happen at the WBT Innovation Marketplace, which runs Oct. 24-26 at the San Diego Convention Center.
Conference organizers say hundreds of private equity and venture capital investors, angel investors, Fortune 1000 licensees, and representatives from federal agencies will be on hand to hear about promising intellectual property and technologies.
Up for inspection will be more than 400 licensable deals. Organizers added that the inventors have already been mentored and their ideas vetted.
The show’s organizers added that there will be more than 40 presenters from the region’s technology community. Roughly a third of those went through programs organized by San Diego’s Connect program.
Panel discussions during the conference include “How to Approach a VC” and “Mind the Gap: A Workshop Roundtable on University-Affiliated Gap Funding.”
More information on the WBT Innovation Marketplace is available on the Web at www.wbtshowcase.com.
The initials WBT, by the way, originally stood for world’s best technology.
Northrop Grumman is presenting sponsor of the conference.
