The San Diego Bowl Game Association, which produces both the Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl and the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl college football games, said it’s launching a marketing program to give fans an inside look at the event’s past, present and future. The 10-week program runs from Oct. 15 to Dec. 23, and entails three media platforms: television, radio and print.
Bowl Game TV will air four times a week on Channel 4 San Diego. It will feature bowl game executive director Bruce Binkowski and be produced by Loma Media.
Bowl Game Radio airs twice weekly on ESPN AM 1700 and XX 1090 AM.
Bowl Game Review is a half page article that will run in the UT San Diego weekly.
John Wertz, president of the Bowl Association, said during a critical time in the year for selling tickets to the two events, the programming should be both informative and entertaining.
The SDC Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl is on Dec. 20. The Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl is on Dec. 27. Both games are held at Qualcomm Stadium.
