Steven W. Weathers has been tapped to be the next president and CEO of the World Trade Center San Diego.
Weathers is currently president and CEO of the Savannah (Ga.) Economic Development Authority, but he may be familiar to San Diego’s business community. From 1990 to 2001, Weathers was vice president of the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corp.
The board of the World Trade Center approved the selection on Nov. 14. Weathers will use the Thanksgiving weekend to move and his family will follow him to San Diego in the spring, according to the world trade center.
Weathers replaces Bella Heule, who accepted a position as vice president of the global World Trade Centers Association in July. Hugh Constant has served as interim President and CEO.
