Wells Fargo & Co. has pledged to donate $100,000 over two years to the Reboot program, a San Diego initiative that helps veterans make the transition from military life to the civilian work world.
A local nonprofit organization National Veterans Transition Services Inc. runs the program. Reboot has been described as a boot camp for those leaving the military. Veterans are able to take the three-week course free of charge.
Maurice Wilson, president of Reboot, said in a statement that the Wells Fargo donation will help Reboot assist 960 to 1,200 veterans, and that his organization was grateful for the bank’s support.
Wilson is a retired U.S. Navy master chief petty officer.
In addition to San Diego, Reboot recently began offering its classes in Orange County.
