Enxco, a San Diego-based developer and manager of wind and solar infrastructure, said March 27 that it closed on the purchase of the Bobcat Bluff Wind Project located on some 14,000 acres in Texas. The price of the transaction wasn’t provided.

The company, a unit of EDF Energies Nouvelles Co. of France and Element Power US LLC, said in the coming months it intends to deploy up to 150 megawatts in wind turbines at the site. Construction is expected to begin in the spring, with operations under way by December, the company said.

Tristan Grimbert, president and CEO of Enxco, said that Bobcat Bluff marks the second development acquisition in Texas in the first quarter of this year, and that both projects are expected to be completed by the end of the year.
