Geico’s Poway office, which serves as its West Coast headquarters, will need to hire more than 100 sales agents, customer service agents and claims representatives by the end of this year, the company said June 12.

Chevy Chase, Md.-based Geico, owned by Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc., has been operating in Poway for 13 years, and has about 2,000 employees.

“We are looking for dedicated, driven people who are eager to start a career with Geico,” said Shawn Burklin, regional vice president.

The company said it offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health plans, paid training, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) plans, paid vacation, and excellent opportunities for advancement.
