Moss Adams LLP, a Seattle-based accounting firm that has an office in San Diego with about 73 employees, said it’s acquired Mohler, Nixon & Williams, based in Campbell, in a deal that beefs up Moss Adams’ presence in the Bay Area.
“Mohler, Nixon & Williams is highly regarded in Silicon Valley, and we are thrilled to welcome their talented partners and staff,” said Moss’ CEO Rick Anderson.
In the spring, the firms said they will merge Moss Adams’ Santa Clara office into Mohler’s office in Campbell, while Mohler’s San Francisco office will merge into the Moss Adams office in that city. All of Mohler’s 25 partners and substantially all of its employees are expected to join Moss Adams.
According to Accounting Today, the industry’s main trade publication, Moss Adams was ranked No. 11 on a list of national firms in revenue this year with $323 million, while Mohler Nixon & Williams was No. 94 with $33 million.
