Seattle-based Sur La Table, which sells bakeware, cutlery and other cooking products, will open its second San Diego County store in the fall at Fashion Valley mall.
It will be located on the second level next to Bloomingdale’s at the Mission Valley center, according to a statement from mall operator Simon Property Group Inc.
Sur La Table operates approximately 90 U.S. stores, including one at The Forum retail center in Carlsbad.
Fashion Valley also plans to mark the completion of its new living wall, an 800-square-foot vertical growing space with 4,000 individual plants, on Aug. 10. GreenScaped Buildings of San Diego will finish installing the feature announced earlier this summer by mall operators.
The Living Wall is located in the mall’s northeast corner, across from The Cheesecake Factory. It is among the latest elements of a $15 million renovation that is nearing completion at San Diego County’s largest regional mall.
