Accion San Diego, a nonprofit microlender that makes loans from $300 to $35,000, hosts a Small Business Boot Camp from 8 a.m. to noon April 14 at the Joe and Vi Jacobs Center in Southeast San Diego.
The free workshop is aimed at business owners who are in a startup mode and for those who are growing enterprises, and offers specialized coaching on how to maintain a fiscally fit business, Accion said.
The startup program covers 10 key steps to start a business; financing and banking basics; and marketing. The growth program covers financial statements; hiring and managing employees; and marketing.
The Boot Camp is supported by Torrey Pines Bank, Accion San Diego, and Market Creek Events and Venues. Registration, which includes free breakfast, is available at accionsandiego.com/bootcamp.html.
