The 357-room Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa at Mission Bay is scheduled to complete a $1.1 million renovation by Jan. 15.
A Nov. 25 statement from hotel operators said the renovation, which began earlier this year, is set to wrap up as the property nears its 50th anniversary.
The hotel’s meeting and event space has been redesigned, under a concept by Seattle-based Dawson Design Associates Inc. The property’s pre-function space, public foyers, three main ballrooms and breakout rooms are being completely refurbished.
The resort, at 1775 E. Mission Bay Drive, will have more than 25,000 square feet of contiguous meeting space. Its newest venue is the 9,600-square-foot Garden Pavilion, able to accommodate groups up to 1,100.
