San Diego-based Trigild Inc., which oversees management and sales of distressed properties, has assumed day-to-day management of Genesee Executive Plaza, located in the Golden Triangle/ University Towne Center neighborhood.

A Nov. 9 statement from Trigild said the two-building office complex, at 9333 and 9339 Genesee Ave., went through foreclosure in May and was recently purchased for $46.8 million by Divco West Properties, an investment firm with offices in San Francisco and Boston.

Trigild President and CEO Bill Hoffman said Divco West hired Trigild to oversee tenant operations, maintenance and improvements. “The new owner has plans to upgrade and improve all common areas, including restrooms, lobbies and the courtyard, as well as expand office space,” Hoffman said.

The three-story Class A office and medical buildings were originally constructed in 1983 on the 3.6-acre property. The complex is 68 percent leased, with tenants including FedEx, IGO Medical Group, Genesis Healthcare and UC San Diego.
