Low-cost Mexican airline Volaris on July 15 will begin offering new nonstop fights to Guadalajara and Mexico City from San Diego International Airport.

According to a statement from the airport, Volaris flight 956 will depart Mexico City at 7:30 a.m. and arrive in San Diego at 9 a.m. Volaris flight 957 departs San Diego at 10:20 a.m. and arrives in Mexico City at 3:40 p.m.

Volaris flight 954 departs Guadalajara at 11:10 a.m. and arrives in San Diego at 12:10 p.m. Volaris flight 955 departs San Diego at 1:30 p.m. and arrives in Guadalajara at 6:20 p.m.

Mexico City-based Volaris was founded in 2003 by a partnership involving the Discovery Americas I and Columbia Equity Partners investments funds, as well as TACA Airlines. The carrier now serves 32 destinations with 52 routes and more than 140 daily flights.
