The San Diego County office of commercial brokerage firm Cushman & Wakefield Inc. has formed a new branch in Carlsbad, with the addition of 10 real estate professionals formerly with Coldwell Banker Commercial.

The changeover follows an affiliation switch by the former Carlsbad branch of Coldwell Banker Commercial. Cushman announced July 20 that seven industrial and office brokers, with three support staff, will continue to work in the former Coldwell office, but under the Cushman & Wakefield banner.

Joining Cushman will be brokers Ron King, David Onosko, Bob Willingham, Joe McDermott, Alex Weiss, John Witherall and Amy McNamara. The Carlsbad office is at 5800 Armada Drive, Suite 101.

Steve Rosetta, executive managing director of Cushman’s San Diego operations, said the additions will give the firm a “strong physical presence” in the North County market.

Cushman brokers John Hoffmann and Britain Cheney, who currently handle North County transactions from the firm’s main office in University Towne Centre, will be relocating to the new office. Rosetta said the firm will be adding brokerage professionals to the Carlsbad location “as opportunities arise.”

The privately held Cushman & Wakefield is based in New York City. It is among the world’s largest commercial real estate services firms, with 230 offices in 58 countries, where it employs 15,000.
