Sales Continue on Steady

Path at Del Sur Community

There have been 17 reported sales since March 1 at four neighborhoods of attached and detached homes in the heritage-inspired, master-planned community of Del Sur. Year-to-date sales for Del Sur now total 46, according to the developer, Shea Homes.

According to Del Sur builders Standard Pacific Homes, Shea Homes and William Lyon Homes, new construction is under way or expected to start soon, and additional homes are planned for release next month. Several of the Del Sur homes now selling are available for a June move-in, making buyers eligible for a federal tax credit of as much as $8,000.

Recognized for its environmentally conscious design and “smart growth” principles, Del Sur is now open for model home tours.

New Model Homes to

Debut in Chula Vista

Construction is under way on the new models for the Jacaranda neighborhood by McMillin Homes.

Jacaranda is planned to consist of 109 two-story, single-family homes, each offering three to five bedrooms with two- to 3.5 baths and two-car garages. The community has access to the Enclave Swim Club and its pools, playgrounds, spa, barbecue and picnic area. Jacaranda is located down the street from the Otay Ranch Town Center and is within walking distance of Wolf Canyon Elementary School and Olympian High School. Pricing for these 1,935-square-foot to 2,447-square-foot homes will start from the low $400,000s.

The grand opening is tentatively scheduled for May 15, allowing homebuyers to move in just in time for the new school year. McMillin has built approximately 30,000 homes in its 50 years of doing business.

Pardee Introduces New

Phase at Carriage Run

A new phase of homes is now offered for sale at Carriage Run in Carmel Country Highlands by Pardee Homes. The neighborhood of single-family detached homes offers an easy walk to nearby shopping and schools, and homes there are priced in the mid-$700,000s.

Three floor plans are available with four bedrooms, two or three baths and square footage ranging from approximately 2,151 to 2,402 square feet.

Carriage Run is a certified California Green Builder neighborhood, offering significant improvements in energy efficiency, indoor air quality and comfort, on-site water recycling, and water and wood conservation. California Green Builder homes are designed and built to exceed Title 24 standards by at least 15 percent and these homes may use at lease 20,000 gallons less water than similar, newly constructed noncertified green homes.

Construction Under Way

In Carlsbad Neighborhoods

Construction is now under way on Phase 1 residences at three Carlsbad new home neighborhoods at The Foothills, a master-planned community.

Brookfield Homes is now framing homes in Phase 1 at Rockrose at The Foothills, where sales started March 28. Prices range from the $620,000s.

D.R. Horton Inc. has Phase 1 homes under construction at Alcéa at The Foothills, with prices starting in the mid-$500,000s. The 84 detached condominium homes at Alcéa have approximately 1,753 to 2,052 square feet, three to four bedrooms and 2.5 to three bathrooms.

William Lyon Homes is now framing its first phase at Blossom Grove at The Foothills, with prices also starting in the mid-$500,000s, and are expected to be move-in ready in June.

When completed, The Foothills will have 404 homes on 157 acres. Nearly half of the property at The Foothills will be preserved as permanent open space, providing a key connection to the habitat management program for the city.
