Nov. 28 Meetings Look at Enterprise Zones

Businesses considering relocating within San Diego’s Enterprise Zone can find out about what benefits and incentives are available at two free public workshops set for Nov. 28.

The first event is from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Chula Vista City Hall, 276 Fourth Ave., and the second is from 2 to 4 p.m. at the AMN Healthcare auditorium, 12400 High Bluff Drive, San Diego.

The workshops, sponsored by the South County Economic Development Council and the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corp., will provide information about the benefits including specialized tax breaks and financial assistance programs, and help in expediting development permits.

The Enterprise Zone encompasses parts of Chula Vista, National City and the city of San Diego. About 7,000 jobs have been created as a result of the zone, according to a press statement.

Attendees are asked to register with the South County EDC by emailing SCEDC@SouthCountyEDC.com.
