SAIC Unit Nets $20M Hangar-Building Deal

SAIC said May 19 that its Benham subsidiary received a $20 million contract from the Army Corps of Engineers to design, engineer and build a cargo aircraft hangar at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia.

The deal has a 21-month period of performance.

Benham will seek LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council on the hangar, which will contain multiple bays and offices.

SAIC, also known as Science Applications International Corp., trades on the New York Stock Exchange as SAI. Shares were at $17.20 in late trading May 19, down 28 cents from the previous day’s close. The stock’s 52-week range is $16.25 to $21.90.
