Continuous Computing Names CEO

San Diego-based Continuous Computing Corp., a maker of hardware and software platforms used by major telecommunications manufacturers, named PJ Go its permanent CEO on Feb. 13.

Go, 33, had been serving as interim chief executive officer since the departure of former CEO Ken Kalb in May. Kalb, who co-founded Continuous Computing with Go in 1998, left to spend more time with his family, according to a company spokeswoman.

Go has worked in the telecom industry for 12 years, and formerly held the title of president of Continuous Computing.

Continuous Computing also announced that Randy Lunn, a founding partner of Palomar Ventures, an early investor in the company, was named chairman of the board.

Thanks to a global infusion of capital into telecom networks, Continuous Computing boosted its annual revenues from about $45 million in 2004 to more than $70 million last year. Total employment at the firm, which attracted more than $40 million in venture funding since its inception, was 400 worldwide, and 165 in San Diego.

In addition to its headquarters, the company operates offices in China, France, India, Japan, South Korea, Spain and the United Kingdom.
