Computer Sciences Corp. Receives Marine Corps Contract

Computer Sciences Corp. in San Diego received a U.S. Marine Corps contract that could be worth as much as $7.2 million during its initial year, and as much as $29.9 million over four years if the Marines exercise all of the options.

CSC will provide technical and engineering support for command, control, communications and computers, aka C4.

Some 29 percent of the work will be done at Camp Pendleton.

And 32 percent of the work will be done at Marine bases throughout the continental United States. The balance will be done at Marine bases overseas.

The contract is a firm fixed price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity deal. The office awarding the contract was the Marine Corps Systems Command, Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity at Camp Pendleton.

Seven businesses bid on the deal, the Defense Department said.
